The journey towards loosing or gaining weight is a tough journey as a beginner. Going towards what your body is not use to and recreating your size takes extra energy and motivation. You are not alone. With weight loss and weight gain the journey have similarities. Such as:

Eating Patterns. To change your body size you must schedule your eating. Schedule food intakes to discipline your hunger so there will be no over eating or under eating.

Exercise. No matter if you are gaining or loosing, exercise to gain toned lean muscles in exchange for unwanted fat.

Learn. Learning new trends that you are not use to and training your mind to know what is healthy eating and what is not.

Drink water and protein drinks. Drinking plenty of water releases toxins from your body and drinking proteins add vitamins and minerals to give you energy during your transformation process.

Patterns. Developing a new lifestyle of eating habits and workouts to your daily activities to transition your body to the outcome of what you want it to be. Eliminating bad habits and adjusting to good habits that will benefit you.
